WHAT IS SMART ASSET TRACKING?
Smart Asset Tracking leverages internet-connected devices to keep tabs on the location, condition, and status of various assets across multiple sites. This technology can monitor a wide range of assets, including equipment, products, vehicles, animals, and even people. By attaching IoT devices to these assets, businesses can track them in real-time and gather critical data, such as temperature, movement, and usage patterns. Implementing automated asset tracking enhances security, boosts productivity, increases efficiency, and improves maintenance across industries.
HOW DO VISTA ASSET TRACKING SOLUTIONS WORK?
- VISTA Asset Trackers provide real-time updates when movement is detected, sending data to a LoRaWAN® gateway, which then forwards it to the network server. From there, the data is sent to our geolocation server and then to the application, where users can locate their devices and assets. VISTA offers both indoor and outdoor asset trackers, suitable for monitoring pallets, vehicles, animals, and more. Our devices transmit data via the LoRaWAN® network and use BLE beacons for indoor tracking. Some trackers also feature GPS for continuous location monitoring during transit.
The geolocation server can locate any LoRaWAN® device, not just those with GPS, and can integrate with third-party network servers, offering users flexibility. The application is the final step, allowing users to see the real-time location and battery status of their assets. It features a user-friendly interface for uploading floor plans and maps, setting up movement alerts, and filtering assets by region, helping to reduce input errors and streamline asset management.
